Meet Our Founder:

Carl Cricco

A passion to drive meaningful change started it all.

Originally founded as Attract Research in 2018, Carl Cricco renamed the organization Data For The Better with a stronger focus on revenue because he saw a need.

Nonprofit organizations face unique challenges in generating revenue. They need an approach designed to solve these challenges, while staying true to the fundamental mission.

Data For The Better is that approach.

As the former senior vice president of marketing at the 9/11 Memorial & Museum, Carl led 90% of operational revenues. He helped the organization surpass annual revenue goals. In 2017, the museum had a record number of visitors thanks to his hard work. Over 3 million people visited that year.

His leadership continued at K9s For Warriors, where he served first as the Chief Marketing & Development Officer and then as Chief Executive Officer. During his tenure, he doubled fundraising revenues from $13 million to $26 million in just 3 years. The organization had the most successful year in its history in regard to revenue generation and program output under his leadership.

Carl's success stems from his mastery of developing effective revenue-generating campaigns. He conducts impactful research, analyzing all available data (e.g., CRM reporting, web traffic) to prioritize key metrics, and leverage insights.

He brings these skills and his experience to Data For The Better. Along with a team of non-profit veterans, Carl’s passion and determination is unrivaled. He gets results.

Carl’s work has been recognized by the Wall Street Journal and Advertising Week. Carl holds a B.A. from New York University and an M.B.A. from New York University Stern School of Business, specializing in marketing and strategy.
