Unifying a Divided Nation
Amidst a politically charged climate, a national nonprofit dedicated to celebrating American history faced the daunting task of crafting messaging that would resonate across ideological divides.
In a concerted effort to navigate this challenge, we tested the organization's existing messaging frameworks and embarked on a comprehensive psychographic survey. This survey was distributed to both current and prospective donors, and maintained representation from diverse political perspectives. Additionally, we facilitated focus groups structured to mirror this ideological diversity.
Through this research, we successfully pinpointed the core message points surrounding American history and the fundamental values shared by all Americans, transcending political affiliations.
Armed with these insights, we collaborated closely with the nonprofit to devise a strategic marketing plan aimed at amplifying awareness of the mission and increasing donations. Our plan centered on leveraging earned media, social media platforms, and deploying targeted digital advertising campaigns.
The impact of our campaign was immediate, yielding heightened engagement metrics such as increased social media following, elevated email list sign-ups, and improved program attendance. Within just six months, the organization experienced a remarkable 28% increase in donations, underscoring the effectiveness of the new messaging and strategic approach.
